Remember, shares are just as crucial as likes, as they amplify your content’s visibility across the platform. Dive into our expert advice and unlock the secrets to accelerating your Facebook presence and fostering meaningful connections with your audience.

Create Good Content

The quickest way to get more Facebook likes and increase shares is to create good content. So, where does great content begin? Consider the avenues that are popular on your personal newsfeed. This includes memes, videos, current event comments, inspirational quotes, causes/solutions, and live videos. Don’t be afraid to interject a bit of humor if it matches your brand’s identity.

Then, make sure to share the content at the best time when your audience is the most engaged.

Correct Imagery

It is important that all the images shared represent your brand and its audience. This includes making sure your cover photo and Facebook profile picture include your brand’s logo. Also, don’t be afraid to change it up. Your Facebook cover photo should change regularly. Think about holidays, business promotions, events, etc. Don’t waste the prime real estate. Contests

Contests and promotions are a great way to create higher engagement with your Facebook audience. You don’t have to have a huge giveaway for it to be popular. The best contests encourage user-generated content. This is great for brand recognition. An example of a photo contest is this one held by REI on its Facebook page:

Offers

An exclusive promotional offer or a discount code only shared on your Facebook page would give an incentive to follow your business page. This is especially true if users share the code with others on their friend’s list.

Be Consistent

In order to get more Facebook likes, it is important to be consistent in a posting schedule. It is recommended to post at least three to five times a week to stay relevant. However, make sure the content is engaging. Hubspot found that pages under 10,000 fans experienced a 50% drop in engagement per post if they posted more than once per day.

Call-To-Action

A “call to action” or CTA is a common marketing term. A CTA is one of the most important aspects your social media post should have. A call to action is a phrase used to tell a user exactly what action to take and how to take it. This could be “Buy Now”, “Subscribe”, “Learn More”, etc. For Facebook, this means sharing, liking, or commenting on a post.

Your Facebook Business Page can also have a CTA button.

How do I create a Facebook Ad
How to Create a Facebook Ad?

Many businesses want to try leveraging Facebook Ads to reach more people. Paying for outreach is the fastest way to grow. However, it is important to know how to create a Facebook ad properly to get the most bang for your buck.

Define Your Goal

Don’t just boost a post. First, figure out what you want the ad to achieve. Are you looking for more website traffic? More messages? More engagement on the Business Facebook Page? This will help when creating the ad and knowing exactly what you want it to say and who it will reach.

Go To Facebook Ads Manager

Navigate to Facebook Ads Manager. Then, choose your objective. There are 15 objectives to choose from. These are bundled into three categories: Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion.

Awareness

Awareness usually helps generate interest in a product or service. This section is better for smaller budgets.

  • Boost your posts
  • Promote your page
  • Reach people near your business
  • Increase Brand Awareness
  • Increase your reach
Consideration

If you want someone to get more information about your business, consideration is the way to go.

  • Send people to a destination on or off Facebook
  • Get installs of your app
  • Raise attendance at your event
  • Get video views
  • Collect leads for your business
Conversion

Selling something? Conversations help get people to buy your product.

  • Increase conversions on your website
  • Increase engagement in your app
  • Get people to claim your offer
  • Promote a product or catalog
  • Get people to visit your shops

Audience & Budget

After figuring out the campaign’s objective, the next step is defining the audience. This step is crucial and determine if your ad is successful or not.

  • Location, starting with a country, state, city, zip code, or address, and refining even further with a mile radius
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Languages
  • Interests – Facebook looks at a person’s interests, activity, the Pages they like, and closely related topics
  • Behaviors – Things like purchase behavior and intent, as well as device usage

Budget

After selecting the audience, now decide how much to spend. A daily limit is the average spent per day while the lifetime is the maximum cost of the entire ad.

Create Ad

Now that you know your audience, create an ad you know they will want to read about. This includes images (or video), headline, body text, and where on Facebook your ad should be displayed. The ad can be an existing post or something completely new.

First, select the format. These change depending on the objective but can be:

  • Carousel: Create an advert with 2 or more scrollable images or videos
  • Single image: Create up to 6 variations of your advert using 1 image
  • Single video: Create an advert with one video
  • Slideshow: Create a looping video advert with up to 10 images
  • Canvas: Tell a more immersive story by combining images and videos

Desygner

Desygner is a lesser well-known option, however, it has a similar layout as Canva. It looks as though the makers of the program tried to replicate Canva, yet there are differences. For example, Canva offers templates that can be reused with different colors and backgrounds while Desygner’s options lack any customizations. However, Desygner has great text options. Both are pretty similar across the board. Canva has the edge right now since it is the established maker. It may be beneficial to get in with Desygner now with grandfathered pricing.
